These are suggested answers to the Study Guide questions at the back of the book. You may add other answers from your mother and father. The questions are designed to help you understand what happened to Cinderella and her family. They are also designed to help you make good decisions when it is your turn to fall in love. You could probably write an essay about any one of them. Remember, you have to read the book first!

Answer: Madame Fairy was Cleo Blue, Cinderella’s mother’s friend. She was a blessing to the entire family by looking out for Cinderella when her mother passed away. Madame Fairy then took care of Cinderella’s father when he was released from the hospital and later became his love interest.
Answer: Galli believed Drizzella was too much like her mother, harboring an unkind heart. He believed Drizzella mistreated Cinderella in concert with Lady Tremaine Simple Blue and Anastasia. Drizzella seemed to stand silently by when her mother said bad things about Galli because he did not know who his father was. Lady Tremaine thought Galli was too poor to date her daughter, so Galli walked out. By the end of the story, Galli had other reasons to stay away from Drizzella. Do you know what they were?

Answer: Cinderella’s father, Latrell Blue tried to take care of Cinderella the best he could. In fact, much of the reason he married Lady Tremaine was because she promised to help rear Cinderella while Latrell was working in the woods. Latrell paid all of the bills and supported the entire family. Cinderella tried to take care of her father by secretly spying on Lady Tremaine. She alerted Galli, thus Paul Bunyan and the police when Tremaine planned to kill Latrell. When Latrell was in the hospital and released, Cinderella asked Madame Fairy if he could stay at her house until he fully recovered.

Answer: To co-sign a loan means you are helping someone else buy something on credit. Whatever they are buying does not belong to you, but if they don’t pay the bill every month, you will have to pay it. Doesn’t seem fair, does it? Co-signing for another person can give you problems because people are not always honest. They will promise to keep up with the payments to the bank and not keep their promise. If your friend is late on the payments or defaults, your credit score will go down!
In my opinion, you should not co-sign for anyone except your own children, or unless you are rich. Young people should save their money and protect their credit.
